Some unknown assailants have reportedly attacked an EndSARS protester Miss Kamsiyochukwu Ibe, who had testified before the Lagos Judicial Panel of Enquiry on Police Brutality.

The incident which occurred on Sunday night was revealed by the victim’s lawyer, Mr Adesina Ogunlana.

Ogunlana disclosed this on his Facebook page.

According to him, the hoodlums identified Miss Ibe with a torchlight before mutilating her with a cutlass.

    His post reads:

“Less than 24 hours to the world press conference on the confirmed Lekki toll gate massacre, Kamsi, a leading EndSARS protester/petitioner/witness/campaigner was matcheted viciously in Lagos.

“Her attackers shone a torchlight on her face before attempted murder, saying in Yoruba and Pidgin English “Oh we know you, shebi they have warned you people to stop, but you will not stop.”

Miss Ibe is not the only victim who has been attacked in recent times over the release of the EndSARS report.

Chronicle NG reported how some agents of the government allegedly threatened the life of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa who was a member of the Lagos Judicial Panel of Enquiry on Police Brutality over the release of the EndSARS report by the panel.

“Since the submission of the report of the Lagos #EndSARS Panel, there have been lots of threats and attacks, by those suspected to be agents of the government, upon me, especially in the media,” he said.

In his statement on Monday, Mr Adegboruwa said that the Federal Government of Nigeria should be held responsible if anything should happen to him.

“Two prominent lawyers of the government have openly incited opinions against me on national television, with mindless accusations. I have however refused to be intimidated or bend to the tactics of government to be silenced,” he said.
