The Anambra police command has apprehended one Udebuan Sage Chibueze ‘M’ ,a top commander of IPOB/ESN.
Chibueze was arrested with a gun shot injury on 29th October, 2021.
It was gathered that the suspect was arrested after a search was conducted in his house at Ekwolobia and Nnewi where 4 AK 47,2 Automatic pump action, and several ammunition were recovered.
The IPOB commander was said to have led several attacks on police facilities and responsible for the killings of several police men and Naval personnel.
The latest development was seen as a major breakthrough as it will further weaken the strength of IPOB/ESN against the security operatives.
The Public Relations Officer of the command DSP Ikenga Tochi was not available to confirm the story but a very senior officer in the command Deputy Commissioner of police in charge of Operations DCP Aderemi Adeoye confirmed the story stating that investigation is still ongoing.
