United Bank for Africa Plc, a leading financial institution in Nigeria, has announced that it plans to hit a target of three million users of its new bank app in three months.

The bank, however, targets 100 million users overall, Group Head, Media & External Relations, Mr. Ramon Olanrewaju Nasir said in a zoom meeting with stakeholders on Monday.

Mr Nasir stated that the developers had made painstaking efforts to ensure that the app’s security was impenetrable to cybercriminals. However, to ensure holistic security, users must make sure to secure their phones as they are now an integral part of a a person’s life.

He said, “The new UBA app is more than a banking app as it brings together the best of personal financial management, payments and lifestyle services. This app has a distinctive user interface and with the latest design and usability trends that will eventually give differentiated experience for our key segments (Youth, Mass Market and HNI).”

“Customers have full control of their transactions on the App. They can control the way the App serves them, control their cards, change the way the App looks. Change the way features are arranged etc”
