    Omisore rubbishes Saraki’s claim, says he’s in talks with APC, PDP

    The Social Democratic Party governorship candidate in the South West state of Osun has rubbished claims by Nigeria’s Senate President Bukola Saraki that he will work with the Peoples Democratic Party in the rerun election slated for 27 September.

    Omisore who confirmed that he has met with both the All Progressives Congress and the PDP said his party was yet to decide who it will align with.

    In a press briefing, he said the SDP will work with the party that agrees to implement the policies of the party if elected.

    “SDP in now in league of discussion with both APC and PDP but what is going to drive us is the governance of this state.

    “The programme of SDP and good governance of SDP, what and what it has project, so we are yet to bless whichever party comes to government to ensure that to ensure they are going to adopt our own policy.

    The Independent National Electoral Commision, INEC, declared the election inconclusive on Sunday afternoon because, according to the returning officer, the difference between the two leading parties, APC and PDP, was less than the total number of votes cancelled.

    The PDP, after final collation in Osun led its closest challenger, APC, by 353 votes while 3,498 votes were cancelled.
