Nigerian social media influencer Blessing CEO has issued an apology to Nigerians for her past remarks and behavior, stating that she regrets commenting on other people’s pain without grasping what they were going through.
The influencer wept in a video posted on Tuesday, November 3, just days after being released from detention and following the loss of her son, Brian.
In the heartfelt video shared on her IG page, she called herself broken and drained, confessing that she had learned her lessons the hard way.
“I’m so sorry for talking about pain I’ve never experienced. I’m coming to realize that talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words,” she said.
Blessing’s apology arrives as her controversial public statements face fresh scrutiny, including what she said during the domestic violence dispute between the late Bimbo Ogbonna and her husband, IVD, along with her repeated criticism of May Edochie amid her marital crisis.
She also drew widespread backlash in 2026 after saying she had stage four breast cancer and asking the public for donations.
The fundraising appeal turned controversial once questions were raised about the medical report she submitted. She later made clear that she did not have a confirmed stage four diagnosis.
In the video, Blessing CEO also paid tribute to her late son, whom she fondly called “Doom Doom,” saying she missed him and was set on making amends.
“I miss you, Brian. I miss you so much, and I promise to correct every wrong,” she said.
She went on to reveal that her mother had been having a hard time coping with the loss, sharing that they would sometimes hide from one another just to cry.
Calling her apology a choice to retrace her steps, Blessing compared herself to the biblical prodigal son, saying she was ready to go back home and begin anew.
“I’m not ashamed of coming back home. I just want to find my way back,” she added.
