A boxer known simply as Kehinde and widely called KBlaq has been stabbed to death in a street fight at Olodo Garage in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Chronicle NG gathered that the incident took place on Sunday, prompting outrage among social media users, who demanded justice for the deceased.
Based on accounts circulating online, the deceased was not originally part of the fight, while the suspect is said to have shown up after the confrontation had ended and stabbed him in the neck with a broken bottle.
Kehinde, whom acquaintances described as a boxer, reportedly died from his injuries.
On Monday, the spokesperson for the Oyo State Police Command, Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the incident in a telephone interview with our correspondent, saying that an investigation was ongoing.
