Victor Osimhen continued his impressive scoring form as Galatasaray cruised to a 3–0 victory over İstanbul Başakşehir in a Turkish Süper Lig clash on Saturday.
The Super Eagles’ striker was among the goal scorers as Galatasaray delivered a dominant performance at home, strengthening their push for the league title.
Osimhen’s goal helped put the game beyond the visitors, as the Istanbul giants dominated from tip to finish.
Galatasaray scored in the second half through Wilfried Singo in the 57th minute, following relentless pressure on the Başakşehir defenders.
Osimhen extended their lead in the 66th minute, leaving the visitors with a mountain to climb, before Renato Sanches completed the scoring in the 84th.
With the victory, Galatasaray retained their lead in the Süper Lig title battle.
Galatasaray’s next match is the second leg of the Champions League away against Liverpool on Wednesday.
Galatasaray has a one-goal advantage heading into the game. A win or a draw would ensure Galatasaray’s spot in the following round.
