The 10-month-old granddaughter of American rapper Snoop Dogg has died, her mother announced on social media, following months of medical complications linked to her premature birth.

Codi Dreaux, daughter of Snoop Dogg’s youngest child, Cori Broadus, died on January 26, Broadus said in a post shared on Instagram Stories. She posted a black-and-white photograph of herself holding the infant, writing: “Monday I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” accompanied by an angel wing emoji.

The child’s father, Wayne Deuce, also confirmed the death in a separate social media post, sharing photographs of himself with the baby and writing: “I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you.”

Codi was born in February 2025 at 25 weeks of gestation, three months earlier than expected. Broadus had announced the birth at the time, describing the pregnancy as high-risk and confirming that the baby was delivered via emergency caesarean section after she developed HELLP syndrome, a serious pregnancy complication involving elevated liver enzymes and low platelet levels.

Following her birth, the infant was placed in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where she remained for nearly ten months. Broadus regularly shared updates during the hospitalisation, documenting medical milestones and thanking supporters for prayers and encouragement.

In early January 2026, Broadus announced that her daughter had been discharged from hospital and brought home. “She’s home,” she wrote at the time, thanking well-wishers for their support throughout the prolonged medical ordeal.

No official cause of death has been released. The child’s death occurred several weeks after her discharge from intensive care.

Broadus first announced her pregnancy in December 2024, stating that doctors had expressed concern due to the risks involved. Throughout the pregnancy and her daughter’s hospitalisation, she repeatedly referenced medical challenges associated with extreme prematurity.

Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr., has not made a public statement regarding the death. The rapper is the father of four children and grandfather to several grandchildren.
