Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has been awarded the Best Middle East Player at the 16th edition of the Globe Soccer Awards, held in Dubai on Sunday.
The 40-year-old Al-Nassr forward defeated Karim Benzema, Riyad Mahrez, and Salem Al-Dawsari in a fan-voted category that honors exceptional performers in the region’s divisions.
Fabrizio Romano, a well-known football writer, revealed the prize on X on Sunday.
“Cristiano Ronaldo wins Best Middle East Player Award at Globe Soccer 2025,” he wrote.
This is Ronaldo’s second consecutive success in the category, following his triumph in 2024, demonstrating his continuous supremacy in the Saudi Pro League since joining Al-Nassr in 2023.
Ronaldo’s outstanding 2025 season includes 40 goals since his February birthday, an incredible achievement for a superstar in his fifth decade.
The Globe Soccer Awards, held annually in Dubai since 2010, recognize excellence in all aspects of football, from players and coaches to clubs and agents.
PSG, after winning the UEFA Champions League and Super Cup, as well as Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France, was named Best Men’s Club, with individual awards going to Luis Enrique (Best Coach), Vitinha (Best Midfielder), Désiré Doué (Emerging Player), and Luis Campos (Best Sporting Director).
