President Bola Tinubu is expected to visit Kaduna State on Thursday (today) to inaugurate numerous significant development projects carried out by Gov. Uba Sani’s government.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the visit is part of Sani’s two-year anniversary celebrations.

The 300-bed Specialist Hospital in Millennium City, Kaduna, established by the state government to improve healthcare services, is among the projects set to be inaugurated.

Tinubu will also launch the Rigachikun Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, road improvements in Soba and Samaru Kataf Local Government Areas, and the 24-kilometre Kafanchan Township Road.

Others include the Tudun Biri route, a 22-kilometre route connecting Kauru and Kubau LGAs, as well as the Tudun Biri Vocational and Skills Training Centre.

Tinubu is also set to introduce 100 compressed natural gas buses as part of attempts to revamp the state’s public transport system.

The projects are part of the administration’s efforts to improve infrastructure, provide healthcare, empower young people, and promote economic growth.

The state government termed the visit as a historic moment for the people of Kaduna and a chance to highlight ongoing efforts to improve the state via effective governance.

Sani, who is celebrating his second year in office this month, has focused on human capital development, rural infrastructure, and job creation since entering office in 2023.

Tinubu’s trip to Kaduna State was postponed from Wednesday to Thursday.

He was planning to visit Kaduna on Wednesday, but because of recent violence in Benue, he rescheduled his travel.

On Wednesday, the president visited Benue to express his condolences to the victims of the recent attacks and examine the humanitarian condition.

During his visit to Benue, Tinubu met with stakeholders such as traditional rulers, political and community leaders, and youth groups to discuss long-term solutions to the conflict.

He also criticised the escalating violence and urged communities to practice peace and mutual understanding.
