Newcastle United continued their impressive run of form with a commanding 3-0 victory over Leicester City, making it four wins in a row across all competitions and propelling them into the Premier League’s top five.

The Magpies wasted no time asserting dominance, breaking the deadlock just two minutes in with a beautifully worked team goal.

Joelinton found Harvey Barnes on the left, who slipped a pass to the overlapping Tino Livramento. His cross was met at the far post by Jacob Murphy, who poked it home.

Just nine minutes later, Murphy doubled the lead, capitalizing on a sensational long-range strike from Fabian Schar that cannoned off the crossbar and into his path. Leicester, already under immense pressure to turn their fortunes around, looked deflated as Newcastle ran rampant.

Eddie Howe’s side added a third before the break. A swift counter-attack saw Joelinton force a save from Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, but the rebound fell kindly to Barnes, who slotted it into the empty net against his former club.

Leicester, without a goal in their last seven home league matches and on the brink of relegation, struggled to respond. The atmosphere turned somber at the King Power Stadium, with little for the home fans to cheer about.

Even a consolation goal seemed out of reach as Newcastle threatened to extend their lead further—Dan Burn narrowly missing a header from a corner.

With the result all but sealed, Howe rotated his squad, resting key players including Joelinton, Bruno Guimarães, and Alexander Isak.

In a rare bright moment for the Foxes, 15-year-old Jeremy Monga was handed his professional debut by Ruud van Nistelrooy, making him the second-youngest debutant in Premier League history.

Newcastle cruised through the final stages untroubled, maintaining their unbeaten streak against Leicester to six games (five wins, one draw) and leaving the Foxes 15 points adrift from safety.
