In a New Year’s message to Nigerians, Dr. Osahon Enabulele, the Director General (DG) of Osahon Enabulele Foundation, planned to host a national colloquium in Edo State on how citizens can access universal healthcare within their rights.

The foundation said Nigerians can truly have their health rights and universal access to health care fulfilled.

Enabulele announced in a statement that Benin City, Edo State, will host the national colloquium on January 29, 2025.

Chronicle NG reports that the colloquium will cover important leadership issues, recruitment, and election management.

“Together, we overcame the daunting and precarious challenges of the outgone year through the grace of God. Therefore, counting on that grace, we should rise to enter the New Year with greater confidence and belief in the average Nigerian human spirit to conquer the barriers and challenges confronting progress in all spheres of our national life,” the statement partly reads.

Enabulele wrote, “As we begin the new journey, the question of how to navigate the murky waters of hunger, suffering, alienation, seeming indirection, threatening erosion of our moral compass, the miasma of hopelessness and despondency, etc., in the year will no doubt attempt to occupy our minds.”

“But, I am glad that we are Nigerians. We have a famed resilience against adversities. That resilience must serve us well this year.”

“Consequently, we must joggle in our minds the options we have as a people. We can either submit to those despairing and existential listings above or, as the great Nigerians that we are, rise to repair! If Nigeria put us where we are. It is we, Nigerians, who must get us out of it and take us to where we want to go! Enabulele urged citizens.”

“We appreciate the God-given potential, human and material resources of our great country. We believe they must be harnessed in deliberately coordinated ways to impact lives positively in the nation. Natural wisdom must now prevail on us to discern that now is the time for action! Bye bye to the year of lamentations and welcome to 2025, the year of expectations, progressive steps, and positive action.”

“This is the time to rebuild Nigeria; to return to the values and ethos that guarantee integrity, honesty, a sense of responsibility, and commitment to ideals, Enabulele charges.”

“We recognise that it is only from such an algorithm that we can produce genuine leadership and good governance in Nigeria.”

“We are prepared to stand together with you again in this new yoke of work! Because we believe there will be results!”

“I urge us all this year to think about the potential result of substituting our lamentations for real-time, deliberate effort at recalibrating our immediate community for good. And to engage ourselves purposely to that end in the New Year.”

“Once more, Happy New Year to you. May greater joy, happiness, progress and prosperity fill our homes in this new year,” Enabulele penned.
