The former President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, has reacted to President Joe Biden’s decision to end his re-election bid.
Chronicle NG reported that Biden announced his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential election on Sunday.
Biden subsequently endorsed his deputy, Kamala Harris, as his preferred presidential nominee for the Democratic Party.
Obama, reacting in a post on his official X handle, described Biden as one of America’s most consequential presidents.
The former US President wrote, “Joe Biden has been one of America’s most consequential presidents, as well as a dear friend and partner to me.
“Today, we’ve also been reminded again that he’s a patriot of the highest order.”
