French World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe was officially unveiled as a Real Madrid player in front of a sold-out Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday.

The Frenchman mentioned that he was “one happy guy” after completing a move he has “dreamed” of since he was a child and will this afternoon hold a press conference.

The 25-year-old confirmed his move to Real Madrid last month but has had a difficult few weeks since, injuring his nose while playing for France at Euro 2024 and becoming more frustrated with having to wear a mask.

He chose not to use it in the semi-finals against Spain, but he was unable to inspire France to victory as Les Blues were defeated.

The former PSG striker, who had completed his medical earlier on Tuesday morning, signed a five-year contract and was handed a No. 9 shirt by club president Florentino Perez.

“Wow,” Mbappe said in Spanish to thousands of fans gathered at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

“For years I’ve dreamed of playing for Real Madrid, and today my dream has come true,” said the 25-year-old former Paris Saint-Germain player.

“I’m a happy boy. I’m going to give my life for this club,” he added.

Although his new teammates began training on Monday, Mbappe, who captained France during the Euros, will have a few more days off before kicking off his season in the Spanish capital.
