Manchester United are holding talks with Ajax over a deal for Brazilian winger, Antony, with the player waiting for the deal to be done.

Antony has trained away from the rest of the Ajax squad and will not be part of Sunday’s game away to Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivise.

The Brazilian winger and his agents are also keen to agree personal terms with Manchester United as he looks to reconnect with his former manager, Erik ten Hag.

According to Sky Sports Germany reporter, Florian Plettenberg, Ten Hag is pushing for the deal to be completed as soon as possible.

“Been told that the negotiations between Ajax and Manchester United are ongoing. Talks are still taking place,” he said.

Adding that, “Both clubs will try to reach an agreement. Players side is waiting for that. Antony wants the move, Ten Hag is pushing for him.”

Manchester United are also expected to reopen talks to sign Frenkie de Dong from Barcelona and Cody Gakpo from PSV.

The Red Devils are expected to announce the signing of Casemiro from Real Madrid on Sunday.

The defensive midfielder and his agents arrived in Manchester on Saturday where he underwent his medicals.

Manchester United are bottom of the Premier League having lost their first two games, conceding six goals and scoring one.
