The Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals(ANAP)  has called on the Federal Government to see to the end of the prolonged ASUU strike or the aviation sector will be shut down.

In a statement signed by the General Secretary of the association,  Comrade Abdulrazak Saidu,  the ANAP  criticized federal government lacklustre handling  of the situation, stating continuous  strike may affect the future of the students,  and also give rise to social vices in the country.

The Association bemoaned the continuous failure of the past and recent government to honour the agreement signed with ASUU in 2009,  urging the Federal government to take hasty steps in addressing ASUU’s demands , also adding that the body will embark on strike in solidarity with ASUU if the federal government fails to act promptly.

ANAP also disclosed that the association has received directive from the Nigerian Labour Congress to embark on solidarity actions which may cripple the sector.
