Hon. James Faleke, a member from the Ikeja Federal Constituency, has picked up the All Progressives Congress Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
On Tuesday in Abuja, APC National Organizing Secretary Suleiman Argungu declared the process open and handed over the Expression of Interest and Nomination papers to Faleke, who is also the founder of the Tinubu Support Groups.
Faleke’s collection and payment for the forms, valued at N100 million on behalf of the president, formally launch Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has set presidential and national assembly elections for Saturday, January 16, 2027, while gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2027.
The commission also announced that party primaries, including the resolution of relevant disputes, will take place from April 23 to May 30, 2026.
INEC has indicated that campaigns for the presidential and National Assembly elections will begin on August 19, 2026, with gubernatorial and state assembly elections beginning on September 9, 2026.
