Anngela Boyle, jailed for 30 years for child pornography

A woman who made child porn videos which she sent to her husband was jailed for 30 years for what police described as the “worst case” of the crime they had seen in two decades.

Anngela Boyle took photos and footage of four children aged just 12 months to nine years in her home in Detroit, Michigan and forwarded the material to Colin Boyle.

She also admitted that along with her husband she abused a one-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy at least four times. Her husband is already serving a 60-year jail term for the crimes.

An investigator said it was the “worst case” of child abuse he had probed in two decades

“This type of investigation will always rock a community to its core, and the gravity of the crime and the helplessness of the victims impacts even seasoned investigators,” Lake Orion Police Chief Jerry Narsh said in a report by the Detroit Free Press.

Colin Boyle, who was given 60 years for the abuse, was already a known sex offender

Police launched their probe after they found that Colin Boyle, a known sex offender, was watching child porn in his home. A raid turned up a camera with footage of a one-year-old naked girl on it.

“(The wife) explained to law enforcement that child pornography is the only thing that sexually excited Colin Matthew Boyle,” an FBI agent allegedly wrote in an affidavit, according to Fox News.

His lawyer Kimberly Stout had pleaded during his trial that he be jailed in a prison with mental health care, arguing that he “admits to being ‘sick'”, the Detroit Free Press reported.

“Without the proper medications and treatment, (he) hears voices,” she added in a letter to the US District Court in Detroit.
