Nigerian afrobeats singer Ayodeji Balogun, popularly called Wizkid, has sternly criticised his colleague, David Adeleke, also called Davido.
In a statement on X on Wednesday, Wizkid berated Davido, calling him a ”spoilt rich kid” whose lawyer dresses like popular Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, popularly called Basket Mouth.
”First off, you’re not as fly as me; you can’t sing or make music like me; you can’t dress; you don’t make more money than me; you don’t even get hoes like me,” he said.
Calling Davido a ”cheap” musician who allegedly settles for less than what other musicians are paid for a show, the Ojuelegba crooner said, ”You don’t know yourself. You’re cheap; you pull up for less than we do! Now f**k off you spoilt Rich child. That’s all you are. F**k you and your dad’s money; we got ours! Every nigga around you broke,” he said.
”Your dumbass lawyer flies with you everywhere dressed like Basket Mouth, lol. Our lawyers are too busy for that. You kids,” he added.
