Governor Akinwunmi Ambode delivered an explosive world press conference on 30 September declaring that he will contest the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries on 2 October.
The governor who alleged that his only contestant Babajide Sanwo-Olu was arrested in the United States for spending fake dollars said he was concerned only about the welfare of Lagosians.
He also alleged that Sanwo-Olu has medical record at Gbagada General Hospital that shows he is not healthy.
