Nigerians have criticised a social media user, Vivian Okeke, over her call for women to falsely accuse men of rape.

In a now viral tweet that has elicited backlash from Nigerians, Okeke urged women to accuse men of rape in a bid to teach men ”a lesson”.

Okeke mentioned that false rape accusations are necessary to curb the alleged excesses of men.

”Personally, I think false rape accusations are the best option for getting these men to be taught a significant lesson,” Okeke said.

Her statement has attracted backlash from Nigerians who totally condemned her demands.

This publication highlights below some of the reactions of Nigerians to Okeke’s tweet.

Juliana Ene Ogli, ”Vivian Okeke, did you really type this? This is not only wrong, but this is evil. You’re a demonic being. A vile human, and you’re a terrible person.

”My sincere prayers for you today are; may your sons be falsely accused of rape. May they be significantly jailed and rot there.”

Houston Frosh, ”She’s a terrorist. She deserves to be jailed for life. She will surely get sued for this post one day.”

Chris Legacy, ”Imagine how many innocent men are rotting in jail because of wickedness like this. It’s better to be alone as a man because you can hardly tell the difference between a good woman and a Jezebel nowadays.”

Adekola Taiwo, “I always tell my gender to make sure they are not accused. That gender can manipulate”

Ofoegbu Stephen, ‘Internet never forgets. I pray this happens to your husband and brothers; you will be reminded with a flash of your post soon.”

Nnena Okejie, ”Always our Igbo girls. Who raises these girls nowadays? Come to social media as an Igbo man, and you will be ashamed over what our girls do online.”

Blessed Uche, ”Check her name and feel sorry for us men who are still single from that part of the country. It tells you what we are going through in their hands.”

Farabelleza Folashade, ”This was how one innocent young boy killed himself. I wonder if that girl was punished because the truth came out that she was lying, only because he refused her advances at him.

”But social media and school shamed the innocent boy, and he became depressed, probably an introvert, and did what he did. As I remembered today, may that girl and her parents suffer for this crime.”

Afoke Tochukwu ”Fear most Igbo ladies. Have you ever seen Yoruba or Hausa ladies disgracing their tribes on social media like Igbo women?”

Moses Robben, ”This is what they teach each other in that group they created on social media. Those home wreckers that tell married women to be the boss in their families.

‘I’m not surprised. I only pity men who refuse to take their life seriously all in the name of relationships.

“As a man, if you want to live long enough to fulfil your destiny, stay single. Stuffs like this is always coming from women from one particular region in this country.

”The ladies that insulted Davido using his dead child are also from that same region.

“The one that insulted Buniface, saying he’s not talented enough is from the same region. Yet men will not learn.”

Mazi Obinna, ”Dear men, even if you see a man pants down with a lady, still probe and scrutinise her rape allegation thoroughly.

”These individuals allege rape for something as flimsy as ‘saving face’. They give consent this minute; the next minute, they claim it was forced for various reasons.

”Many men have died this way. Men should be very, very careful with women.”

Nonso, ”Dear Vivian Okeke, You have an extremely dark heart. Yes, it’s been deleted, but it will never be deleted from the internet. This is the face of witchcraft itself. Men, beware!”
