BSc in Law: Vera Anyim meets Enenche, says no grudge against pastor

Vera Anyim, the lady who rose to prominence following the controversy surrounding her recent testimony at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja, has issued a public apology after requesting Nigerians for help in finding housing.

According to The Punch, Nigerians mocked Anyim for requesting assistance in securing accommodation.

In a video that went viral last Thursday, Anyim, who represented herself as a celebrity, asked Nigerians to help her find a new home.

Several Nigerians were shocked by her request for assistance.

Following the criticism, Anyim issued a public apology, claiming that everything happened so quickly and that she was just trying to protect herself.

“I’m sorry for seeking public support regarding my accommodation. It was because I wasn’t feeling safe and because of the fear of being kidnapped because everyone around me thought I was given plenty of money from Port Harcourt, and I wasn’t ready for it. I didn’t force anyone; please forgive me,” she wrote on Facebook.

Before this, the church’s senior pastor, Paul Enenche, interrupted Vera’s testimony about being a law graduate from the Open University of Nigeria in a viral video on social media.

Enenche described her testimony as a falsehood. This did not go over well with Nigerians, who sought an apology from the preacher.

Following the public outrage, the church apologised to Anyim.

Anyim was offered a sponsored holiday at the Portland Resorts Hotel in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

However, when she returned, she stated that her home was no longer safe.

“I want to say to Nigerians, You know, this thing that happened is a thing of joy; I never dreamed of it; it came to this moment; I never dreamed of being a celebrity.

“It just came all of a sudden. I never prepared for it. I want to use this medium to urge us to assist me with accommodation because I am not buoyant enough to rent a house now. Where I am staying now is risky and insecure. It is a very open place, and everybody already knows I am a celebrity.

“When I left Abuja, some people in my compound didn’t know what was happening, but I was there, and so many of them heard what was going on. Some have said they are waiting for me. My brother, who stays with me, told me that people gathered, all waiting for me,” she stressed.
