Nollywood actress, Uche Montana, has refuted allegations linking her to the alleged drug abuse crisis in the household of actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Montana made this known in a statement on her Instagram page on Monday, days after Nwoko, in a detailed post on Facebook, accused Regina’s siblings and close friends, including actresses Sonia Uche and Uche Montana, of sabotaging his wife’s rehabilitation process.
Nwoko claimed that the gang routinely disregarded medical orders restricting Regina’s access during therapy and would “bring her the same drugs she was being treated for.”
Reacting, Montana wrote “My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims.
“For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace”.
Her statement comes amid growing criticism surrounding Regina Daniels’ marriage to Senator Nwoko.
In a viral video two weeks ago, Rita claimed to be a “slave” in her husband’s home and accused him of domestic abuse.
Nwoko, on the other hand, denied the claim, claiming that his wife was suffering from “drug and alcohol addiction” and accusing her of being abusive with domestic staff.
In her own posts, Regina accused Nwoko of hypocrisy, stating that he exposed her to the substances he now blames for her illness.
She claimed he promoted her drug usage, locked her up, seized her phones, and forced himself on her when she objected.
