President Bola Tinubu on Thursday began a 10-day vacation as part of his 2025 annual leave, the Presidency announced.

According to a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu will spend the 10-working-day vacation between France and the United Kingdom, after which he will return to Nigeria.

Onanuga said, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today, September 4, to commence a working vacation in Europe as part of his 2025 annual leave.

“The vacation will last 10 working days.

“President Tinubu will spend the period between France and the UK and then return to the country.”

The president returned to Abuja on Thursday, 28 August, 2025 from diplomatic meetings in Japan and Brazil.

Tinubu’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, stated that the presidential plane took off from Brasília International Airport Air Force Base at 12:57 pm (local time) on Wednesday and landed early Thursday morning.

Tinubu attended the opening ceremony and plenary session of the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) on August 20 in Japan.

He had bilateral meetings before wrapping up with an interactive session with members of the Nigerian community.

After TICAD 9, he travelled from Yokohama to Los Angeles, then to Brasília.

In Brazil, he met with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and other top authorities.

The two presidents had private discussions and signed five Memoranda of Understanding.

Nigeria signed MoUs in vital sectors such as aviation, foreign affairs, science and technology, and agriculture to advance its development objectives.
