Three final year students of the Department of Mass Communication, Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area, have died in an accident after their final examinations.
The accident involved a commercial tricycle and a Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
It was gathered that the deceased, two females and a male, died on the Isselle-Azagba/Ogwashi-Uku Road allegedly on their way to a ‘graduation party’.
It was learnt they wrote their final papers on Friday and were joined by other friends for the party about 8pm when the accident happened.
The female students died immediately while the male, who was unconscious, died on Sunday.
Police spokesperson Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the incident.
