    President Muhammadu Buhari receives his son Yusuf who just returned from a medical trip

    President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf, who was involved in motor-bike accident in Abuja, has returned from medical treatment abroad.

    Mrs Buhari, who expressed her appreciation on her Twitter handle on Thursday in Abuja, said the Buhari family remained grateful to all Nigerians for their constant prayers for recovery of Yusuf Buhari.



    “We thank God for the return of our son Yusuf today after his medical trip.

    “On behalf of the family I wish to express our appreciation for the goodwill and prayers since the unfortunate accident.

    “May God Almighty bless all and continue to guide us all alright,” she tweeted.

    Yusuf arrived Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at the early hours of Thursday.

    Minister of Interior Lieutenant-General Abdurahman Dambazzau (rtd), joins Yusuf in offering prayers

    He was accompanied by the personal physician of his mother (Aisha Buhari), his elder sister Halima Buhari and other family members.

    Yusuf was received at the Presidential villa by his parents, Minister of Interior Abdurahman Dambazzau, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi, Minister of State for Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire and other close associates of the family.

    Yusuf had the accident in December in Gwarimpa area in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

    Buhari junior broke a limb and also sustained an injury on the head as a result of the incident.

    He had a surgery at a clinic in Abuja where he was stabilised.
