Residents of Suleja in Niger State, a popular town close to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, stormed the major road in violent protest over hunger and unending economic hardship.
In a viral clip obtained by Chronicle NG, burning tyres were at different spots as able-bodied men in Suleja were pelting stones and wedging big sticks at moving vehicles.
The violent, able-bodied men chased truck-laden goods in motion in an attempt to uncover them.
Also, there were several onlookers besides the major road as protesters placed the burning tyres to obstruct incoming vehicles.
Nigerians in Suleja can be heard voicing their frustration at President Bola Tinubu as the moments were captured.
After barely three weeks, Chronicle NG reported that residents of Minna in Niger State protested the high cost of living in the country on February 5, blocking major roads within the metropolis.
The outcry included women who were concerned about unaffordable staple foods.
The nationwide outcry is in reaction to the economic hardship bedevilling the nation due to unfavourable policies.
