The All Progressives Congress (APC) vice-presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima has joined millions of Nigerians in wishing Vice President Yemi Osinbajo quick recovery after he underwent a leg surgery.

Shettima, a two-term governor of Borno state, said that Nigeria needs the “extremely humble and erudite” Vice President back to full fitness.

“Get well soonest, Sir,” he wrote, adding that, “I join millions of fellow Nigerians and friends of our dear country around the world, to wish our dearest Vice President, His Excellency, Prof. Osinbajo GCON, SAN a speedy recovery, after his successful surgery in Lagos.

“As Nigerians, we need our extremely humble, erudite and hard working Vice President back on his feat for his good family and all of us, and to continue his excellent works for our dear country. May God heal you, Sir. Once again, Get well soonest,” he said in a series of tweets.

Many Nigerians have also commended the Vice President for choosing to have his surgery in Nigeria instead of travelling abroad like most Nigerian politicians.

@iam_musty echoed similar sentiments. “I never heard about Osinbajo traveling out of the country not even to Ghana or Togo for medical treatment, always patronising Nigeria hospital.

Another user, Tamuno Tonye described the Vice President as one who is committed to Made In Nigeria. “Only patriotic leaders and citizens sticks to everything Nigeria.
