    Shettima joins millions of Nigerians to wish Osinbajo quick recovery

    The All Progressives Congress (APC) vice-presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima has joined millions of Nigerians in wishing Vice President Yemi Osinbajo quick recovery after he underwent a leg surgery.

    Shettima, a two-term governor of Borno state, said that Nigeria needs the “extremely humble and erudite” Vice President back to full fitness.

    “Get well soonest, Sir,” he wrote, adding that, “I join millions of fellow Nigerians and friends of our dear country around the world, to wish our dearest Vice President, His Excellency, Prof. Osinbajo GCON, SAN a speedy recovery, after his successful surgery in Lagos.

    “As Nigerians, we need our extremely humble, erudite and hard working Vice President back on his feat for his good family and all of us, and to continue his excellent works for our dear country. May God heal you, Sir. Once again, Get well soonest,” he said in a series of tweets.

    Many Nigerians have also commended the Vice President for choosing to have his surgery in Nigeria instead of travelling abroad like most Nigerian politicians.

    Reacting to his decision to trust and embrace local medical services, DaVinci wrote, “It never occurred to me that he has never traveled abroad for any medical in all the years as VP. Respect! It is not by mouth, this is highly commendable doings,” he wrote.

    @iam_musty echoed similar sentiments. “I never heard about Osinbajo traveling out of the country not even to Ghana or Togo for medical treatment, always patronising Nigeria hospital.

    Another user, Tamuno Tonye described the Vice President as one who is committed to Made In Nigeria. “Only patriotic leaders and citizens sticks to everything Nigeria. No wonder the Nigerian Medical Association always involve him in all their administrative needs. Speed recovery your Excellency, VP Osinbajo.

    Commending Prof. Osinbajo, Pacesetter Gozie wrote, “Last year, the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors said they trust Osinbajo’s judgment. This action is evident that Osinbajo really believes in this country and that he is indeed different from other politicians.”
