    Taxify has rebranded to Bolt in Nigeria and other African countries
    Taxify has rebranded to Bolt in Nigeria and other African countries

    Taxify, the car-hailing platform, on Thursday rebranded in Nigeria as Bolt, after two years in Africa’s most populous country.

    Bolt currently provides its services in six African countries, the company said in a statement.

    The company said Bolt users will not need to take any action as the app will update automatically.

    “With our entry into Nigeria over 2 years ago, we had one goal – build the best way to move in all the cities we operate.

    “We have grown in leaps and bounds over the years and are now aiming to solve transportation needs on a broader scale,” a statement by Bolt read.

    “Because of this, we are rebranding to take on a new name, one which encompasses our future. Our new name Bolt, stands for fast, effortless movement- exactly what you deserve.”
