Ravil Maganov, the chairman of Russia’s largest oil company, Lukoil, has died after falling from a Moscow hospital window.

Maganov, 67, passed away as a result of his injuries while receiving treatment at the city’s Central Clinical Hospital, sources told Russian media.

He is the latest of a number of high-profile business executives to die in mysterious circumstances.

Shortly after the invasion of Ukraine, Lukoil demanded an end to the conflict.

The Lukoil board called for an immediate end to the crisis in Ukraine at the beginning of March and offered its condolences to all who had suffered from “this tragedy.”

Maganov began working for the private oil company in 1993 and took over as chairman of the board of Lukoil two years ago.

In May a former senior manager at Lukoil, Alexander Subbotin, reportedly died also under unusual circumstances.
