Protesters on Monday stormed the streets of Gusau the Capital of Zamfara State, waving Russian flags and calling President Vladimir Putin to come to the rescue of Nigerians.

The protesters who came out on Monday were carrying leaves and Russian flags, and chanting different songs as they paraded.

Asked why they were carrying Russian flags, they said the reason was to indicate the country’s grievances and need an urgent response from President Putin to come and rescue the country from its present predicament.
