The Ondo State Police Command on Thursday apprehended a driver for killing two students from the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji.
The students were killed in a fatal accident that occurred along the Akure-Ondo Motorway on Wednesday evening.
The victims, Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola, were on a motorcycle when they were hit by a speeding Toyota Camry. They died at the spot.
Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrest of the driver and stated that the suspect is now in police custody. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to a cemetery.
She said, “The bodies of the victims have been deposited at the mortuary, and the driver of the vehicle is now in police custody.”
