The Adamawa State Police Command has initiated an inquiry into the murder of Ojajuni Ayomiposi, a 27-year-old law student at Nigerian Law School’s Yola campus.

According to a statement made on Sunday night by the command’s spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje, Ayomiposi, an Ondo State native, was discovered unconscious after climbing over the school fence.

“The Adamawa State Police Command confirms the report of an unfortunate incident involving a 27-year-old student of the Nigerian Law School, Yola Campus, identified as Ojajuni Ayomiposi,” the statement read.

According to the authorities, on December 6, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Ojajuni returned to campus on a tricycle, apparently stumbling, and leaped over the fence into the hostel grounds. A security guard later discovered him sick and unconscious.

He was immediately brought to a local hospital, where he was admitted but eventually died while being treated.

His body has been taken to the hospital mortuary for autopsy, while investigations continue.

Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has ordered a thorough investigation into Ojajuni’s death.

This is the first time a student’s death has been recorded at the Nigerian Law School, Yola campus, in nearly two decades.
