The Police have commenced investigation into the cause of the multiple vehicular accident which led to the death of seven persons along the Enugu-Markudi Road in Enugu State.
Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Ebere Amaraizu, said this in a statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday in Enugu.
He said that twelve persons who sustained injuries in the accident are currently receiving treatment in hospital.

He said that the accident happened by 8 a.m. on July 3 at Ebe-Egede community along Enugu-Markudi Road in Enugu State.
“The multiple auto-crash involved a Mercedes Benz truck with registration number AA 365 ARD; one Man Diesel Truck with registration number XA 828 PKN and a Toyota Bus with registration number XA 282 YDI,” he said.
Amaraizu said the injured persons in the incident had been taken to a nearby hospital in the community while the remains of the deceased had been deposited at the mortuary of Eastern Nigeria Medical Centre, Enugu.
