Pep Guardiola has won four consecutive Manager of the Month award beating Antonio Conte’s record

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has set a Premier League record by being named manager of the month four consecutive times.

The 46-year-old was named winner of December’s award as his side produced six league wins and a draw.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte won the award three times in a row in 2016.

City scored 19 goals in December and bagged four on three different occasions and saw off Spurs, West Ham, Bournemouth, Newcastle, Swansea, Leicester and Manchester United.

Kane, 24, struck eight goals – including two hat-tricks – during December.

His Spurs side produced four wins, a draw and a single defeat to Guardiola’s City, who remain unbeaten in the Premier League and sit 15 points clear at the top.

Bournemouth and England striker Jermaine Defoe was awarded the Goal of the Month award.

Guardiola will hope to crown his remarkable feat with titles this season.

As a manager, he has won 22 trophies since the start of his managing career, making him one of the most successful managers in world football.
