Popular TikToker and livestreamer Hamzat Habeeb, otherwise known as Peller, has been hospitalized after intentionally crashing his car during a live broadcast on the Lekki-Epe Expressway.

It was gathered that the incident unfolded on Sunday during a viral livestream he titled “RIP Peller.”

The TikToker, who was alone in his newly purchased Mercedes-Benz, showed signs of distress while also speaking emotionally on a phone call, reportedly with his girlfriend, Jarvis, amid speculations of a breakup.

During the livestream, Peller said, “I will use this car and have an accident right now,” followed by, “I’m scared. I’m scared.”

In another unsettling occasion, he reportedly said, “If you leave me, people will mock me…” “Thank you; I’m going to kill myself.”

The webcam showed him eventually driving away before smashing into a stone barrier, causing extensive damage.

A separate video shows onlookers trying to help Peller at the scene before he was taken to the hospital.

Information regarding the severity of his injuries had not been determined at the time this report was submitted.

Photos shared online showed significant destruction to the Mercedes-Benz.

Supporters and social media participants have shown significant worry regarding the event, urging for increased awareness of mental health issues faced by online influencers.

Upon being contacted, the spokesperson for the state police command, Abimbola Adebisi, assured that she would respond after obtaining adequate information regarding the incident from the local Divisional Police Officer. By the time we submitted this report, she hadn’t responded..
