Victor Osimhen gave a breathtaking performance on Wednesday night, firing Galatasaray to a 3-0 win over Ajax in the UEFA Champions League with a superb hat trick.
Osimhen was in unstoppable form at the Johan Cruyff Arena, scoring all three goals in a commanding display that showcased his deadly finishing and relentless energy.
The Nigerian striker’s first goal came in the 59th minute—a clinical strike that silenced the home crowd.
Osimhen then doubled his tally from the penalty spot in the 65th minute after being taken down in the box, comfortably shooting past the Ajax goalkeeper.
When Galatasaray was awarded another penalty late in the game, the 26-year-old made no mistake, converting in the 78th minute to complete his hat trick before being replaced by Mauro Icardi in the 80th minute to a standing ovation from both sets of fans.
The victory not only increases Galatasaray’s qualifying chances, but it also confirms Osimhen’s status as one of Europe’s most lethal forwards.
His movement, strength, and composure in front of the goal were simply world-class, demonstrating why he is still one of the continent’s most feared strikers.
Speaking after the match, Osimhen dedicated his performance to the fans and teammates.
“It’s not about me; it’s about the team,” he said. “We came here with a plan, and we executed it perfectly. I’m happy to help my team with goals, but what matters most is the victory.”
Osimhen’s form has continued to light up Europe, with nine goals in his previous seven games.
