    Obi felicitates with Oba of Benin as he marks 70th birthday anniversary

    It Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the recently past presidential election, has felicitated with the Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Ewuare II, on the occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary.

    In a statement on his verified X account, the labour party chieftain also congratulated the royal father as he marked his 7th coronation anniversary.

    Thanking the royal father for his unwavering contribution to nation-building, Obi prayed and wished the paramount ruler “more healthy and fruitful years.”

    “I wish to congratulate the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Ewuare II, on his recent double celebration of his 70th birthday and his 7th coronation anniversary, both of which happened this month.

    “As a revered royal father, he has continued to protect and promote the rich cultural heritage of the Benin Kingdom.

    “He has also continued to contribute immensely to the peace and progress of the Benin Kingdom and Nigeria in general.

    “I wish him well, and I pray God to grant him more healthy and fruitful years as he continues to contribute to the development of our dear nation. With such enlightened traditional rulers, the new Nigeria of our dream remains possible.”
