    Former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Nigerian Army Engineer Corps, Lagos, decorated his son, Adeboye Obasanjo, who was recently promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in the Nigerian Army.

    The decoration ceremony followed the son’s recent promotion from the rank of Colonel to Brigadier General in the Nigerian Army.

    The occasion was a historic homecoming for former President Obasanjo, who was also in the Nigerian Army Engineer Corps while in the military.

    His son is of the Engineer Corps.

    According to reports, the former President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was accorded a rare privilege by the military to decorate his son.

    The decoration took place at the headquarters of the Nigerian Army Engineers Corps at the Bonny Camp, Lagos.

    The former President was accompanied by Towulade of Akinale Kingdom of Egbaland, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, to the occasion.

    The newly-promoted Brigadier General OA Obasanjo has two Master Degrees and other professional qualifications.

    He also attended courses both in Nigeria and abroad. He also served in various formations and units of the Nigerian Army, where he held different appointments.
