The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced September 30, 2026, as the start date for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream One orientation course.
The three-week exercise will hold at NYSC orientation camps across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, ending on October 20, 2026.
NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, announced the schedule in a statement issued on Tuesday.
According to the statement, registration for prospective corps members will begin on Wednesday, September 30, and close on Friday, October 2.
The swearing-in ceremony for the new corps members is also scheduled to take place on Friday, October 2, following registration.
NYSC Issues Travel Safety Advisory
The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier Olakunle Nafiu, wished prospective corps members and officials participating in the exercise safe journeys to their respective orientation camps.
Nafiu advised prospective corps members not to travel at night while heading to the camps.
He also urged them to use vehicles operating from designated motor parks as part of measures to promote safety during their journeys.
The NYSC urged all participants to adhere to the announced schedule and safety guidance ahead of the commencement of the orientation exercise.
