Prominent Nigerians across politics, media and faith circles have continued to celebrate Former Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo as he marks his 69th birthday, with glowing tributes highlighting his leadership, humility, scholarship and service to the nation.

The former vice president, a professor of law and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, turned 69 on Saturday, March 8, drawing widespread goodwill messages from leaders, former colleagues and admirers nationwide.

Among those who paid tribute is Umaru Bago, governor of Niger State, who described Osinbajo as a patriotic leader whose contributions have significantly shaped Nigeria’s development.

He said Osinbajo remains “a national asset” whose selflessness and commitment to nation-building have supported the country’s peace, growth and progress.

Bago also prayed for the former vice president’s continued good health, longevity and success in the years ahead.

Former presidential adviser Babafemi Ojudu described Osinbajo as a rare public servant whose intellect is matched by character and humility.

In a heartfelt tribute, Ojudu praised his calm leadership style, noting that he has consistently demonstrated integrity and patriotism in public service.

He added that Osinbajo represents a reassuring example of decency in Nigeria’s political space, describing him as a leader committed to service, discipline and national progress.

Also celebrating the milestone, Laolu Akande highlighted Osinbajo’s ability to inspire both through words and actions.

According to him, inspiration remains a defining quality of true leadership, noting that Osinbajo stands out for consistently motivating others through his conduct and public service.

Faith-based platform Sermon Times also joined in the celebration, commending his life of integrity and devotion to God and country.

The platform’s message reflects Osinbajo’s strong influence within Christian communities, where he is also known for his pastoral role in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Osinbajo served as Nigeria’s vice president between 2015 and 2023 under Muhammadu Buhari and is widely regarded as one of the country’s most respected legal scholars and public intellectuals.

The outpouring of tributes underscores his enduring impact across Nigeria’s political, academic and faith communities, with many praising his integrity, civility and thoughtful leadership.

Supporters across divides have also taken to social media to celebrate what they describe as a legacy of service and moral responsibility.
