    Nigeria announces 460 new coronavirus cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 460 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Wednesday.

    The 460 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 30249.

    The NCDC also announced the discharge of 265 patients from isolation centers across the country with 15 new deaths reported.

    Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 150 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 11670.

    • Nigeria announces 575 new coronavirus cases

    Rivers state recorded 49 new cases, Oyo reported 43 new cases while Delta, FCT, and Anambra recorded 38, 26 and 20 new cases respectively.

    Other states are Kano-20, Plateau-18, Edo-14, Bayelsa-13, Enugu-13, Osun-12, Kwara-10, Borno-8, Ogun-7, Kaduna-6, Imo-4, Bauchi-3, Gombe-3, Niger-2 and Adamawa-1.

    NCDC reports that there are 30249 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 12373 discharged and 684 deaths.
