President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to put aside their differences and work together to achieve peace, prosperity and development.

Speaking through Mohammed Idris, minister of information and national orientation, during a special Jumaat prayer at the National Mosque, Abuja, Tinubu said the country could only fulfil the dreams of its founding fathers if citizens embraced unity and peaceful coexistence.

“Differences will always exist. But the president’s message is one of hope, unity, and togetherness,” Idris told worshippers. He added that Nigerians must embody these values to realise the progress and prosperity promised by the Tinubu administration.

The president appealed for patience, noting that his government is steadily tackling challenges in security, agriculture, and the economy. He urged citizens to continue praying for the nation and its leaders.

Highlighting the anniversary theme, “Nigeria at 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation”, Tinubu stressed that the task of nation-building required the collective effort of all Nigerians, regardless of ethnic, political, religious, or social background.

Also present at the prayer, Mohammed Kyari, minister of agriculture and rural development, expressed optimism that Nigeria was on the path to regaining its lost glory.

Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe and chairman of the Niger State Traditional Council, prayed for peace and prosperity at 65.
