The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested Emmanuel John, 16, for the murder of his father, Monday John.
Our source learned that Emmanuel killed his father with a pestle at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2.
During a fight between the dead and Emmanuel’s mother, Mrs. Mercy John, the incident occurred.
According to a police source, one Yusuf Ayuba submitted a case of culpable homicide to the Karshi Police Station on Wednesday, May 3.
According to him, Emmanuel is in police custody and will be charged in a juvenile court once the police investigation is completed.
During a press conference on Friday, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba, claimed the suspect struck Monday’s head hard.
Garba said, “It all happened when the suspect’s mother and father engaged each other in a physical fight.
“The suspect took sides with his mother and used a pestle to hit hard on the deceased’s head which eventually led to his death.
“The suspect will be arraigned in a juvenile court at the conclusion of an investigation.”
