Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage is facing backlash from the public after a controversial TikTok livestream in which she appeared half-naked alongside younger personalities, Peller and Jarvis.

The 44-year-old singer’s actions have sparked a heated debate on social media, with many criticizing her for what they consider inappropriate behavior, while others have come to her defense.

During the TikTok session, Tiwa Savage allegedly asked Jarvis to dance for her, while Peller was seen nearby.

The situation took a provocative turn when Savage showed her buttocks to the camera, displaying her tattoos in the process.

The incident immediately caught the attention of viewers, leading to an outpouring of reactions on social media.

Teniola, a user on X (formerly Twitter), commented, “Tiwa Savage asked Jarvis to dance for her, but Peller was busy protecting his baby yansh.”

Kelly Bonito, another X user, also expressed her disapproval, saying, “No way Tiwa Savage just showed her butt to Peller, a 17-year-old. I’m glad Jarvis was wise enough to tell Tiwa, an adult, that it was the wrong thing to do.”

The incident has sparked a wave of criticism, with many Nigerians voicing their concerns about Savage’s behavior, particularly in relation to her age and status as a mother.

Bros IK questioned her actions, saying, “Tiwa Savage on TikTok showing her yansh to 19-year-old kids, all in the name of showing off her tattoo. Where does she draw the line? SMH!”

Oxygist added to the debate, stating, “Moment Tiwa Savage showed Peller her Tattoos on her Butts ???? Is that normal or I’m the one overthinking it?”

Neo Official also criticized the singer’s conduct, highlighting her role as a parent and public figure: “Just look at what Tiwa Savage is doing with teenagers on TikTok. This is supposed to be someone’s mother and role model.”

Despite the backlash, Savage’s fans have been quick to defend her. They argue that she has always been celebrated for her bold and confident fashion choices, including wearing bikinis, and see nothing wrong with her actions during the livestream.

Her supporters believe the criticism is rooted in a double standard and insist that the singer should be free to express herself without judgment.

One fan pointed out, “After all, the mother of one is applauded whenever she wears a bikini. Why should this be any different?”
