The Anambra State government has ordered the freezing of the bank accounts of popular native doctor Chidozie Nwangwu, also known as Akwa Okuko Tiwara Aki.
The decision comes following disturbing discoveries at the Akwa Ọkụkọ Tiwara Aki shrine.
The state government has also launched an investigation into his financial transactions over the past 10 years.
The operatives of the Anambra State security outfit, Agunechemba, reportedly arrested the famous native doctor, popular for displaying a flamboyant lifestyle on social media platforms.
The arrest was first reported on the Anambra State Government X account, formerly Twitter, on Saturday.
According to the Anambra State Government, Akwa Okuko’s arrest is unconnected to his alleged involvement in aiding and abetting crime in the state and its environs.
They alleged that the native doctors helps in preparing charms for internet fraudsters and also in helping fraudsters launder money.
