American gospel artists Chandler David Moore and Naomi Raine Solomon have both announced they are quitting Maverick City Music, the contemporary worship collective that launched them into international acclaim.
Naomi Raine, who first appeared on Maverick City Music collaborative albums in 2019, reminisced on her journey with gratitude.
“What began as a small gathering of friends singing in a shed evolved into a worldwide movement of worship that changed my life in ways I never imagined,” she shared on social media. “Being part of Mav truly changed me. I don’t regret a single thing—the highs, the lows, the lessons, all of it.”
Naomi stated that her years with Maverick taught her not only about God but also about people and herself. She now feels compelled to pursue a new career.
“Every song I was part of came from a pure place, just me wanting to please God,” she explained. “I’m still writing, still singing, still worshiping, and still leading others, just on my own.”
“Grateful for that leg of my journey. Grateful for all that will come. Just grateful.” Naomi emphasized that this transition isn’t an ending but a new chapter full of faith, purpose, and promise.
In the same vein, Chandler Moore, known for his solo album Feelings (2020), shared his own bittersweet decision.
“These last two years I’ve been locked in on what really matters… in my life and in my career,” he wrote. “It’s been scary at times, but also full of fresh vision and real excitement about the future. With that, I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Maverick City Music.”
Chandler reflected on the early days of Maverick City Music, noting the sense of community and belonging it brought.
“When we started Mav, I was grateful to have community while fulfilling my dream of making music that would help people experience God. And we did that…in ways I couldn’t have imagined.”
Chandler concluded simply by thanking the collective, fans, and God, saying, “Thank you, Mav.” Thank you, fans. “Thank you, God.”
Naomi Raine and Chandler Moore’s announcements conclude an era for Maverick City Music while also ushering in exciting new chapters for two of gospel music’s most inspiring voices.
While their paths diverge, their devotion to worship and ministry is unwavering, guided by personal purpose and vision.
