The Nigerian Air Force has rejected an online notice of admission into the National Diploma or Higher National Diploma (ND or HND) Nursing Programmes at the Air force School of Medical Sciences and Aviation Medicine (NAFSMSAM), Kaduna, for the 2023-2024 Academic Session.

The Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ayodele Famuyiwa, condemned the online admittance notice as “spurious and fraudulent” in a statement on Tuesday.

Famuyiwa said that the advertisement, signed by an ‘impostor, Air Commodore Anike Obinna,’ urging unwary members of the public to pay a non-refundable sum of N15,000.00 for the purchase of an admission form, was a forgery.

According to him, the fraudster also offered two phoney phone numbers for inquiries, 07047290540 and 09169461866, in an attempt to legitimise the illegal conduct.

“The force wishes to inform the public that it has nothing to do with the fraudster or his claims.”

“The Service has not authorised any agent or third party to advertise or collect money on its behalf for such things, and has yet to begin the admission process into ND/HND programmes at NAFSMSAM.”

“The force College of Nursing Sciences administers admission to ND/HND Nursing programmes through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).”

“In addition, information about admission to ND/HND programmes at NAFCONS will be made available to the general public in due course via the College’s official website, www.nafcons.edu.ng.”

“As a result, members of the public are advised to disregard the advertisement currently being circulated on social media platforms,” he stated.
