Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, has been accused of “fanning the embers of ethnicity and division” in Nigeria.
In a comment on X on Tuesday, E.E. Toni described Omokri as “one of the problems of Nigeria.”
Toni’s statement comes on the heels of the applause poured by Omokri on Pelumi Nubi, the London to Lagos sole driver, who knelt to greet governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
While congratulating Nubi, the former presidential aide stated that she “has once again publicly demonstrated that respect for authority and elders, along with humility, even at the apex of personal achievement, are the secrets behind the success of the Yoruba as a race.”
Reacting to Omkri’s statement, Toni stated that the self-acclaimed ‘table shaker’ is “always fanning the embers of ethnicity and division.
“This man is one of the problems of Nigeria, despite his pretentious dispositions towards supporting the country.”
He also added that “such eulogies will not enhance the unity of the country.”
